Sustainability learning doesn't just happen in the classroom. Co-curricula and extra-curricular programs are essential for enriching the student experience and offer valuable opportunities to apply course education, gain new perspectives, and build new technical and professional skills.

Study Abroad through the lens of the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The United Nations (UN), describes the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as “the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.” The 17 interconnected goals address many global challenges, including those related to poverty, inequality, climate change, environmental degradation, peace and justice. The UN has called for all goals to be achieved by 2030.
The IU Indianapolis Study Abroad Office and our campus partners are fully committed to help achieve these goals. Through IU Indianapolis's study abroad programming we strive to engage, educate, and create global citizens who are part of the solution to achieve the SDGs for our shared world.
The IU Indianapolis Office of International Affairs has created a master list of study abroad opportunities sorted by each UN SDG.
